Questions, answered plainly.
Everything reporters, podcasters and desks ask before their first upload.
Can I turn a press conference or interview video into a news article?
Yes — that is what AI Journalist is built for. Upload the video or audio recording (up to 2 hours, 1 GB per file) or paste a public social link, and it writes a finished news article from it: headline, lead, quotes and context, ready for you to edit and file. It works for newspapers, TV channel web desks, news websites, freelancers and YouTube news channels.
Can Hindi audio become a Tamil news article?
Yes — that is the core of AI Journalist. The spoken language is detected automatically, and you choose the language of the output from 30 options. Hindi audio to a Tamil article, Tamil radio to English wire copy, an Arabic briefing to a Hindi feature: any spoken language to any output language, as text or as a finished news article.
Can I understand a video in a language I don't speak?
Yes. Paste a public link from Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok, Threads, SoundCloud or Dailymotion and AI Journalist converts what is said into text in your language — and can write it up as an article. A direct YouTube link is not supported; upload the video file instead.
How is this different from a transcription app?
A transcription app stops at text in the language that was spoken. AI Journalist goes the whole way: it detects the language, transcribes, translates meaning-for-meaning into the language you choose, and — on a separate click — writes the news article with headline, lead, quotes and context. You can still use it purely to transcribe.
How long can a recording be?
Up to 2 hours per recording and 1 GB per file. Long recordings are processed in sections and joined back together, so the upload doesn't fail halfway. Large videos are compressed on your own device first, so only a small audio file is uploaded.
What do I get after converting a recording?
Clean text in your chosen language with optional speaker labels and timestamps, and an article draft written from that text: headline, lead paragraph, sub-headings, quotes and context. Export as TXT, Markdown, DOCX, PDF or SRT.
Is the article ready to publish as it is?
Treat it as a strong first draft. AI can mishear names, numbers and heavy accents, so check every quote, figure and proper noun against the recording before you publish. You are the editor; AI Journalist removes the typing and translating, not the responsibility.
How much does it cost?
The free trial gives 30 audio minutes over 3 days with no card. After that, membership is $7 a month (₹647 in India) including 100 minutes, then one cent per audio minute from credit that never expires. Failed conversions are refunded automatically.
What happens to my audio file?
Audio is deleted from the server as soon as the text is produced. Your records keep the text and the article — not the recording.
Can I rewrite an article with different settings?
Any time. Choose Write article again to pick a new format (news report, feature, interview, brief or press release), length or tone — or a different output language for the same recording.
Which languages are supported?
30 output languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Marathi, Kannada, Arabic, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Japanese and English. The spoken language is detected for you, and meaning is preserved rather than translated word for word.
Does it work for Hindi, Tamil and other Indian languages?
Yes. Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Marathi and Kannada are available alongside English, Arabic, Spanish, French, Portuguese and Japanese. Visitors in India see prices in rupees and pay through Razorpay.
Can podcasters and video creators use it?
Yes. Upload the episode or paste a public link, export SRT captions in any language, and write the same recording up as a blog post, newsletter or show notes — in the language of each audience.
